How to Update Your LinkedIn Profile WithoutNotifying Your Connections

You’ve just made a change to your LinkedIn profile. You don’t want your connections to know about it! Here are some tips for keeping your changes under wraps. First, log into your LinkedIn account. Then, click on the photo icon on the right side of your profile. This icon looks like an empty state with an animated figure. After that, click on Settings and Privacy on the left side of your screen. Under the Account and Privacy tab, click on the Sharing Profile Edits button. If the option is not there, you can still make the changes without letting your connections know.

After clicking the Share button, you should see a box that asks you if you want to notify your connections. Then, click “Share Updates” if you don’t want to notify your connections. You can also choose whether to notify your connection or not. This option will appear under the Privacy tab in your profile. To make changes without notifying your connections, click on “Send Updates to Everyone” and choose to update your profile. This will prevent other people from finding your updated information.
